Contributing to the health and vibrancy of our community is part of our team culture.

Grounded in Community

While each member of our firm has personal causes and charities they support, we take great value from giving back as a team. We do this by donating the firm’s time to provide advisory and project services, community service initiatives, and fundraising activities.

As our company has grown, so has our pursuit of impact. We have founded a dedicated social innovation lab and invested intentionally in integrating inclusion, equity, diversity, and accessibility into our work and business. We volunteer our time and resources to support social enterprise startups like Tribe Network, Habit Forming Technologies, Piecemeal—and we regularly donate time and money to charitable organizations like Ronald McDonald House, Kids Help Phone, Metro Turning Point, COVID-19 Pop Up Testing Sites, Feed Nova Scotia, Canadian Blood Services, and Parker Street Food & Furniture Bank.  

We strive to create an environment where the work of reconciliation and anti-racism work is something that every employee has the tools, knowledge, and safety to call out when systems and services foster inequality and hold our leaders accountable to address them. This approach to how we work is not a policy—it is a set of principles against which we measure every aspect of our work and our impact.

Our team is made up of dedicated change makers. For many of us, a lot of the values that B Corp promotes come second nature to us.   We are lucky to work with a passionate group of individuals who seek to implement real, sustainable change within our work and communities.  

The B Corp Community works toward reduced inequality, lower levels of poverty, a healthier environment, stronger communities, and the creation of high-quality jobs with dignity and purpose. Much of the work our team members do aligns with these goals.
