Mike (he/him) is a thought leader in government transformation and innovation, with over 20 years of experience in consulting across Canada and in countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia. He is well-regarded not only for his ability to design and architect strategies and solutions to complex public sector issues for clients, but also for overseeing their implementation. Mike leads Davis Pier’s social innovation efforts focused on helping government by using behavioural science, service design and evidence-based policy approaches to improving policy-making and program design.
Mike has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering from Dalhousie University and a Master’s degree in Behavioural Sciences at the London School of Economics. He is certified as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and has earned a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
Mike is the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Kids Help Phone and a member of the Board of Directors for the Halifax Partnership. He also volunteers his time to support entrepreneurs through informal mentorship and with the Dalhousie Faculty of Management as a Distinguished Fellow. Mike has been named one of Atlantic Business Magazine’s Top 50 CEOs for four years and Halifax Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year 2025, and has been honoured by Dalhousie with its Alumni Award as an outstanding alum and by the Women’s Executive Network as an Ally of Excellence.
