Maura (she/her) is an Associate at Davis Pier who embraces challenge and approaches her work with curiosity, humility, and a strong collaborative spirit. Maura draws on her unique background across business, technology, and non-profit sectors to partner as a creative problem solver. 

As a product manager, Maura has contributed to the development of cybersecurity, battery analytics and talent management technologies, specializing in balancing user needs with business and program objectives. Maura specializes in identifying opportunities, building cross-functional plans, and working with development and go-to-market teams on execution. Maura has strong skills in problem exploration, user research, requirements gathering, experimentation, and impact measurement. Before her chapter in tech, Maura supported small business owners and entrepreneurs at the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development. Alongside her professional work, Maura is a co-founder and operator of Joan’s Table, a Halifax-based meal program supporting individuals with lived experience of long-term homelessness. 

Maura earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Francis Xavier University while proudly representing her school on the soccer field. Maura has completed a Venture for Canada Fellowship as well as coursework in product strategy and web development. 

Outside of work, Maura cherishes time with family and friends on Prince Edward Island and Hornby Island, BC. She regularly enjoys camping, a variety of sports, movie nights at home, and the pursuit of the perfect breakfast sandwich.
