Alec (he/him) is an Analyst at Davis Pier and has worked across private, public and non-profit sectors, bringing expertise in policy research, public engagement, and market analysis. Experienced at integrating into team environments, he has collaborated with government departments, crown corporations and post-secondary institutions to design and implement social policy and programs. Alec is passionate about community and regional development, and is committed to developing evidence-based policy and programs that improve the socio-economic outcomes of people from all backgrounds.
Alec holds a Master of Public Administration from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science from Mount Allison University. He received the Sir Graham Day Scholarship in 2024 for his commitment to regional development in Atlantic Canada, and his work on public sector employment motivation has featured in The Conversation. Additional publications include his research on employment equity in Canada which was published in the Dalhousie Journal of Interdisciplinary Management, and his research on homelessness in Moncton, NB, which was published in the Journal of New Brunswick Studies.
Outside of work, Alec spends time planning out his next travel adventure, exploring new running routes or golf courses, watching sports, and visiting with family and friends in his hometown of Riverview, NB.
