Raquel (she/her) is a Behavioural Science Lead at Davis Pier and a Psychologist with more than 10 years of experience promoting behavioural change across complex social, health, and environmental challenges. She helps organizations understand what drives human behaviour and translates those insights into practical strategies that improve outcomes for people and communities. At Davis Pier, Raquel has led behavioural science research across healthcare, social policy, and sustainability sectors. She is passionate about support individual- and system-level behavioural change towards healthier and more sustainable habits.
Raquel holds a Ph.D. in Health Psychology focused on sustainable food-related behaviour changes, a Master of Science in Health Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from ISPA University (Lisbon, Portugal). Her multi-year research has been published in international peer-reviewed journals and presented at organizations including the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UN-FAO).
Outside of work, Raquel loves trying new cooking recipes, indoor strength training workouts, and taking long walks to explore Toronto with her Beagle.
