Christina Gilfillan

Associate

Halifax

Christina (she/her/hers) is an Associate at Davis Pier, with a solution-oriented mindset and a strong background in project management, change management, community engagement, and process optimization. A Prosci Certified Change Practitioner, she helps organizations navigate large-scale transformations and initiatives by building readiness, fostering trust and alignment, and translating strategy into action.

Before joining Davis Pier, she held positions across the private, not-for-profit, charitable, and public sectors where she developed a passion for building meaningful relationships, developing creative solutions to complex problems,, and developing practical solutions to challenging problems rooted in a person-centred approach. She has also held strategic and community-focused positions where she specialized in community activation and policy implementation.

At Davis Pier, Christina works at the intersection of strategy, implementation, and change, helping organizations move from vision to action. She has supported a wide range of healthcare transformation initiatives aimed at improving how care and services are planned, delivered, and experienced. Whether supporting the design of new service models, developing implementation approaches, facilitating large-scale engagement initiatives, or guiding organizational change, she is passionate about helping teams create momentum for meaningful, lasting transformation that support better outcomes for individuals, groups and/or communities across Canada.

Christina’s commitment to community has developed through a lifetime of volunteering with Plast, a Ukrainian Youth Organization focused on youth empowerment, cultural education, and environmental stewardship. She holds a Bachelor of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Recreation from Dalhousie University, where she graduated with distinction and received the Vincent Chew Memorial Award.

Passionate about many things, she recently completed the Carpentry Certificate at Nova Scotia Community College (a story for another time!), and when she’s not dreaming up woodworking projects, she enjoys spending time with friends & family, and discovering Nova Scotia’s food scene – always on the lookout for her next great meal.
